Amanda McDonald

Co-Founder

Amanda McDonald has worked in the Social Security Disability industry for over 20 years.

Her experience includes working as a Verbatim Hearing Reporter for the Social Security Office of Hearing Operations (OHO) and as a Claims Examiner.

She has listened to:

- Thousands of cases at the disability hearing level

- Compelling legal theories

- Properly adjudicated bench decisions

- The claims of disability applicants

She has listened to the scams, the poor representations, and the bad determinations.

She has witnessed the wins and the losses.

Now Amanda McDonald uses her knowledge and experience to help those applying for benefits. She opened Unbound Disability Claims to speed up the process of applying for disability benefits.

Unbound now has many solutions to meet your needs at every stage of the Social Security Disability process.

Amanda started working with applicants and it was an immediate hit! Applicants had a better understanding of the process and they were able to make informed decisions about their future. Amanda’s process eliminated the humiliation and confusion associated with disability applications.

“The applicants no longer felt stuck with a broken application process.”

Waiting years for a Social Security Disability approval is no longer the only option!

Alyssa Wilbanks

Co-Founder

Ally Wilbanks has worked in Social Security Disability since her senior year of high school.

What started as a summer job, soon became Ally's new career! Ally loved that she was paid to read medical records and uncover the mysteries of the applicant's impairment. Each application presented a unique puzzle of how to apply the evidence to The Social Security Act to arrive at a conclusion.

During her first year at the University of Central Florida (UCF), Ally intended to pursue a career as a Physician's Assistant (PA). However, as she continued to work in disability, Ally realized she loved working with applicants — and she had the resources to help more people in Social Security Disability than she could ever achieve in Primary Care.

So, Ally changed her college major to Health Science (Health Promotion Track) with minors in: Business Administration and Health Services Administration.

Ally has spent her career and time in college uncovering the injustices that this underserved community faces.

In addition to her work teaching others how to become Disability Experts, and great advocates, Ally volunteers with non-profit organizations such as: Canine Companions.
